Unlike most range finders, the RX-IV reports True Ballistic Range (TBR): The slope compensated effective distance to target, based on the ballistic characteristics of your rifle or bow. The RX-IV uses an inclinometer to measure positive or negative slope. By accommodating for incline, the line-of-sight distance to the target, and your weapon's ballistics, the RX-IV provides archery and rifle hunters the equivalent horizontal distance for precise shooting on an incline. The TBR is reported in yards, meters, or feet. But, Rifle hunters can also see the TBR as an aiming correction factor (Example: Aim 2MOA or 2 Inches Over Target.). True Ballistic Range will make a huge impact on your shooting, giving you a much more accurate measurement than the straight-line distance to your target offered by most range finders. With practice, long-distance, uphill, and downhill shots will become incredibly natural.
